Rupam Das Wins Trailblazer award in Intel RealSense Challenge 2015


Integrated Ideas had once more it’s presence felt at a global event. Rupam Das won Trailblazer award in RealSense app challenge organized by Intel.

Intel RealSense is an exciting new technology that allows the users to interact naturally with the computers using hand gesture, head movement and voice commands along with providing many other features like background segmentation and augmented reality.

The Intel® RealSense™ App Challenge invited developers worldwide to design new, leading edge RealSense apps, which required envisioning new and innovative ways that this technology can be implemented into computing experiences on Desktops, Laptops and Tablets.

Thousands of developers participated in the Challenge, coming from 37 countries worldwide.   Several hundred creative app ideas in these categories each received the new RealSenseTM 3D Camera.  Together with the RealSense Software Development Kit (SDK) they were among the first developers to receive this hardware and software package.  In the final phase of the Challenge, several hundred developers submitted innovative app demos from which several top demos were selected as winners.

Brazilian developer Alexandre Ribeiro da Silva (of Anima Games) won the grand prize for their intuitive game SEED.

Twenty five developers around the world were given “TrailBlazer” award for their amazing innovation. Rupam Das, a techie from Gulbarga, who has won several national and international contests and awards for his innovation in different technologies is named among top twenty five trailblazer innovators alongside only two other Indians. He is been awarded a prize money of ten thousand US dollars ($10,000) for his achievement in an app called “ShadowArtist” which enables the user to make hand shadowgraphy movies for education and entertainment.
